He is survived by: his wife Shelley; his children, Lisa Parsons (Steven), Michael, Angela Nelson (Wayne) and William Jr.; his stepchildren, Dawn LaFever and Travis Watkins (Jamie); his grandchildren, Brian Parsons (Olga), Brandon Parsons (Lauren), Joshua Steinacker (Jessica), Jeremy Steinacker (LeShandra), Jamie Burton, Tim LaFever and Jason LaFever; his great grandchildren, Stella, Felix, Rhyan, Cooper, Liam, Emmy, Nolan, Nathaniel and Nylah; his brother Doug Burton (Pam); and his close friend Arlene. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A devoted baseball fan, William was a longtime Detroit Tigers season ticket holder, a tradition he maintained until the COVID pandemic.
