He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Buxton (Reinhold) and Clark Buxton; his brother Clark Buxton; his brother-in-law Roger Shingler; and his nephew Mark Bogatay.

He is survived by: his wife Hope; his sons, Donald Buxton (Angelica Jones) and Mark Buxton (Tina); his grandchildren, Joshua Buxton (Brooklyn Wright), Benjamin Buxton (Bailee), Matthew Buxton (Raven Britton), Mason Buxton and Madison Buxton; his sister Patricia Latka; and his sister-in-law Elsie Buxton.
