He was predeceased by : his parents, Maria Magdea and Ilarion Magdea. He is survived by : his wife Mary; his brother Laurean (Mary Magdea); his nephews, Michael Ghita, Mircea Ghita (Tanta), Codrut Magdea, Horatiu Magdea and Calin Magdea; and his niece Nina Hadbah.

A funeral Mass was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Romanian Catholic Church (823 S Military St, Dearborn, MI 48124). Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or St. Mary's Romanian Catholic Church.
