He was predeceased by: his parents, Najib Awad and Martha Awad; and his child Firas Awad (Mera). He is survived by: his spouse Muna Awad; his daughters, Mindy Awad Johnson (Stacy) and Cindy Wasaya (Yousef); his siblings, Elias Awad, Intisar Assaf (Hana), Jihad Khoury (Attala), Shadia Haddad (Ghaleb) and Dr. Anton Awad (Hilda); and his grandchildren, Nadine, Yismeen, Jazleen, Lahleen, Jordan, Alexander, Anthony and Firas.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Voran Funeral Home - Dearborn Chapel (23701 Ford Rd, Dearborn, MI 48128). A rosary was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Bosco Parish (12100 Beech Daly, Redford Township, MI 48239). A Mass was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
