She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert O'Connor and Erma O'Connor of Kalamazoo. She is survived by: her children, Jon Parmenter (Peggy) of Ithaca and Sara Boyce (Paul) of Dearborn, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Brendan, Claire, Ryan, Jordan and Lauren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 5th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services (22546 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48124). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Karen's memory to Angela Hospice of Livonia, Michigan or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
