He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Mendez and Dolores Mendez. He is survived by: his siblings, Manuel Jr., Tony, Mary, Theresa, Ramona (James), Viola, Lydia (Samuel), Josie (Christopher) and Mario (Phyllis); his wife Sharon; his sons, Leo Jr. (Kerry), Christopher (Amy), Patrick (Stacey) and Anthony Scott (Kelly); his grandchildren, Bumpa of Spencer, McKenize, Vita, Madilynn, Cruz, Lily, Tony, Emily, Grace, Eva, Aiden, Steven (Lauren) and Amanda; and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Chase and Milena. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his Honor to the American Cancer Society as many of his family and friends have had numerous battles with cancer.
