She was predeceased by : her husband Sylvester "Zeke"; her grandson Gregory Boik; and her siblings, Owen Peterson and Selma Jean Moon. She is survived by : her children, Kristina Boik (late David), Karen Lasater (Thomas), Kim M. Zell (Rosanne) and Kathryn "Katie" Zell; her grandchildren, Joseph, James Zell, Julie, Melissa (Clark Shirley), Zachary (Mansi), Stephen (Noel) and Constance Zell; her great grandchildren, James, Violet, Dylan, Hannah, Freddie and Xavier; and her son Kevin Zell.

She greatly missed the church during the long hiatus of the pandemic and then afterwards, as her health precluded her from attending weekly mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Sacred Heart Church, Sacred Heart School, the Capuchins in Detroit, or a charity of your choice.
