He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin Hawkins and Annabelle Hawkins (Smith); his wife Valera (Babcock); his stepmother Jewel (Hagen); his siblings, Mervin and Theresa (Neal); his children, Barry Hawkins (Teresa), Elizabeth Edwards, Cynthia Bridges (late Ernie Bridges) and David Hawkins (Lena); his siblings, Mark, Johnny, Michael, William, Norman, Rebecca, Melanie, Alegra and Kimberly; and his friend Bridget. He was also cherished by 15 grand kids, 15 great grand kids, numerous nieces and nephews.
