It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tara A. Franey of Dearborn, Michigan, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her sister Francesca Altemus. She is survived by: her parents, James Altemus and Diana Altemus; her child Benen Franey; her significant other Scott Bettinger; her sister Krista Peterson (Todd); her former husband Brian Franey; her nephew Caleb Peterson; and her nieces, Samantha and Meredith Peterson.

Memorials in her honor may be made to the Zekelman Holocaust Center, Habitat for Humanity Detroit, or Hannan Center.
