He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marcia Pinkerton and Ward Davis Peterson Sr.; his wife Margaret Delphine Rose of Ann Arbor; his children, Kathryn Wildfong, Reuben Peterson, Margaret Peterson, Gregory Peterson of Saline, MI and John Peterson; and his grandchildren, Becky, Katie, Annie, Corinne, Jackie, Thomas, Sarah, Ben, Joe and Matt. He was also cherished by 12 great-grandchildren.

They also were supporters of the Henry Ford Village Benevolent Foundation and Scholarship Fund.
