He was predeceased by: his son Hector; and his parents, Ysidro and Petra. He is survived by: his spouse Eduvina; his children, Ysidro E., David J., Juan F. and Felipe Israel; and his siblings, Sesario Duran, Joseph Duran, Esperanza Gonzalez (Ramon), Delfina Mora (Valentine), Maria Garza (Bravlio), Petra Montes and Sylvester.
