She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Houser (Barbara), Michael Houser (Ruth), Diane Houser (Andreas Woehr), Patricia Gremaux (John), Elaine O'Brien (Dennis) and Thomas Houser (Nicole); her grandchildren, Becky Albertson, Amanda Houser, Matthew Gremaux, Thomas Gremaux, Courtney Sandberg and Emily Hunt (Ryan); and her great grandchildren, Maria, Thalia, Kacey and Audrey.
For years, Josephine made regular contributions to Decatur Human Services Food Pantry, Covenant House, and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, because, as she said, "I know what it is like to grow up without.".
