He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Wheeler and Florence Eleanor Leslie (Jickling); his wife Audrey Jean Behr; his daughter Colleen Moore; his sisters, Margaret Sefton and Mary Evelyn Beach; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Wallace and Jack Milligan.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Stephanie and Jake; his children, Diane Hrabec (James) of Davison, Roberta Hall (Brian) of Lake Orion, Hope Gallagher (John) of Plainfield, IL, Merilee Krucker (Kenneth) of Sterling Heights, Ann Jenkins (Russ) of Caro, Robert Leslie Jr. (Kathy) of Decker and Albert Leslie (Dawn) of Decker; his sisters, Beatrice Wallace of Owosso and Jean Behr (Larry) of Brown City; and his brother-in-law Rev. Ross Beach of Fruitport. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kranz Funeral Home - Cass City (6850 Main St, Cass City, MI 48726). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Sanilac County 4-H Fair or Woodland Acres Assisted Living Home.
