With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. Payne of Deerfield, Michigan, who passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver "Bill" Payne and Alberta "Bert" Payne (Alcott); and his brother-in-law Jerry LaMonde. He is survived by: his children, Brad Payne (Leanne) and Jenni Witt (Brad); his grandchildren, Sophie, Tyler (Jenna) and Spencer (Becky); his great grandchildren, Carter, Kenna, Oliver, Maycee and Caylee; his siblings, Ron Payne (Leona), Peggy LaMonde and Nancy Seegert (Daryl); his close friends, Leslie Zenz (Jeremy) and Jeremy Miller (Abbie); Madison, Peyton and Rayna.

Memorial donations in Spunk's memory may be given to Light of Christ – St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
