With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David J. Thornbury (Delton, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 8, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to David's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration David has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanlee Thornbury and Bernice Garza. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Thornbury; his children, Jayson Thornbury (Monica), Adam Thornbury and Carlie Davis; his stepsons, Carl Jacobs (Mary) and Casey Jacobs (Jen); and his siblings, Lee Thornbury (Janet) and Cherry Layle. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
