He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Yingling and Barbara Yingling (Prater); his adoptive father Clarence Ely; his father-in-law Donald Nye; and his brother-in-law John.
He is survived by: his children, Tyler Ely (Cassi), Nathan Ely and Lydia Krotz (Martin); his grandchildren, Elijah, Wilson, Saylor and Lucy; his former wife Donna Ely; his siblings, Cynthia Denz, Clarence Ely (Shirley), Ellen Jeffries (Timothy), Jim Ely (Vanya), Catherine Yingling and Cheryl Yingling; and his mother-in-law Marilyn Nye. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins.
