Bok Mun Yee Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on November 14, 2020, at the age of 97, Bok Mun Yee of Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Jessie Yee. He is survived by: his children, Mary Yee, Henry Yee (Mei) and John Yee; and his grandchildren, Michael, Christopher (Patricia), Jennifer, Arik and Kody.

In a ceremony scheduled for 2021 (regrettably postponed from Spring 2020 because of the pandemic), Bok will be honored posthumously with a Congressional Gold Medal in appreciation for his service during World War II, an initiative begun by the Chinese American World War II Veterans Recognition Project.
