Dorothy leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Dorothy’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Dorothy will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Suggs and Roxanna Suggs; her husband Sam Kelley; her son Codie Kelley; her sister Joan Suggs Davis; and her nephew Emory Exum.
She is survived by: her siblings, Sheila Suggs Tee, Thelma Suggs Exum and Willie Earl Suggs (Theresa Exum). She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home (2704 Nash St NW, Wilson, NC 27896).
