He was predeceased by: his parents, Faye Rubin (Alex) and Aaron Harrison. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Rubin; his children, Mara Crabtree (Timothy) and Philip Rubin (Jamie); his grandsons, Jacob Crabtree, Ashton Rubin and Leo Rubin; and his sister Harriet Remer (Stanley).
