It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Wallace Shaw of Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on May 25, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Shaw and Isabelle Shaw (Wallace); his wife Bonnie; his sister Virginia; and his brothers-in-law, Gene Hibbard, Jack Jensen and Ellis Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, James Shaw (Deborah), Cathleen Malotka (Kevin) and David Shaw (Linda); his grandchildren, Shannon Gerhardt (Christopher), Kelly Koehn (Justin), Keller Shaw, Katelynn Youatt (Pierce), Christopher Shaw (Dani Ward) and Kamryn Mack (Nathan); his great grandchildren, Bryn, Graham Gerhardt, James, Jaclyn Koehn, Keegan Shaw, Clyde Youatt and Oliver Mack; his siblings, Harold Shaw (Marilyn) and Janet Hibbard; and his sisters-in-law, Emma Jean Phillips and Darlene Wolohan (J. Charles). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As a memorial, family suggests any act of kindness, contributions to the charity of your choice, or the Gladwin Office of Aging as they provided wonderful support during his and Bonnie's final years.
