She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Kimberly and Kelly; her grandchild J'Laan Pittman; her siblings, Ann, Ernest Carolynn, Catherine and Joyce; and her aunt Mamie Garvin (Noland). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The lying in state was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Gesu Catholic Church (17180 Oak Dr, Detroit, MI 48221). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to United Negro College Fund.
