It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Urquhart in Detroit, Michigan, born in Huntsville, Ontario, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Urquhart and F. Clare Alsop; his brother John C. Urquhart; his brother-in-law Edward Sacre; and his in-laws, Arthur and Gertrude Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Urquhart; his siblings, Rob G. Urquhart, Fran Lé, Mary Clare Williams and Helen Hartman; and his sisters-in-law, Colleen Sacre, Lucy Gambotto, Donna Winkler and Rose Williams.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) (32515 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
