It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Salome Hernandez Nava of Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Hernandez Sierra and Antonia Nava Rodriguez; her brother Trinidad Hernandez-Nava; and her son Jose Joachin. She is survived by: her children, Leticia, Rosa, Juan Joachin, Bibiana Hernandez, Gabriela, Tina, Liliana and Alfredo Saucedo. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. (7100 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI 48210). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St Barbara Church (13534 Colson St, Dearborn, MI 48126). A Mass was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Woodmere Cemetery (9400 W Fort St, Detroit, MI 48209).
