It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scheril Marie Murphy of Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Yahner and Leona Yahner; her husband James Murphy; and her daughter Kimberley Murphy-Lauria. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Oswald (Dennis), Beth Keller (James) and Scott Murphy; her son-in-law Randy Lauria; her grandchildren, Luke, Trevor, Nicolas, Ryan and Kaitlynn; her great grandchildren, Talan, Benjamin, Maxwell and Tatum; and her sister Arlene Sliwa.
