As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sue may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her mother Lucille K. Adams; her stepfather James L. Adams of Anchorage, AK.; and her stepsister Leslie Rawls of Philadelphia, PA.. She is survived by: her sister Jean Taylor (Robert) of Monterey, CA; her stepbrother Joseph Adams (Lena); her uncle John L. Nash, Sr. (Gwen) of Seaside, CA; her nieces, Tracie Withers of Richmond, VA and Ashley Smith of Greensboro, NC; her cousin John L. Nash, Jr. of Spring, TX; and her nephew Louis Rawls of Houston, TX. She is also survived by grandnieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gwynn's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (242 Gwynns Chapel Rd, Pelham, NC 27311).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Gwynns Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, North Carolina, in honor of our beloved Sue's memory.
