William John Jankowski Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William John Jankowski of Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid William John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For William John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alojzy Jankowski and Eileen Jankowski; his fiancée Roseanne Labelle; and his sisters, Angela Phipps and Michelle Jankowski.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Carver (Bret), William Jankowski (Sirena), David Jankowski (Nina Rendon) and Bernadette Maldonado; and his sister Christine Jankowski (Janie Bolanos). He is also survived by one niece, and two nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). The lying in state will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Ste. Anne Catholic Church (1000 St Anne St, Detroit, MI 48216). A Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Woodmere Cemetery (9400 W Fort St, Detroit, MI 48209).
