It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Kurkowski of Dewitt, Michigan, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruno Thelen and Jean Thelen of Westphalia, MI; her grandparents, John, Theresia Thelen, Joseph and Amelia "Nettie" Trieweiler; her brother-in-law John Wirth; and her nephew Noah Thelen.
She is survived by: her daughter Theresia Boylan (Bill); and her siblings, Sandy Kohut (Keith), Bob Thelen, Dorothy Pohl (Carl), Charlie Thelen (Sherry), Tony Thelen (Angie) and Shirley Thelen (Perry).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 801 N Bridge St, DeWitt, MI 48820. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barb's name to the DeWitt Band Boosters or the Catholic Community of St. Jude.
