He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Zimmerman and Alma June Zimmerman; and his siblings, Dana, Charles and Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann VanSickle; his children, Kevin Zimmerman (Gretchen) and Maggie Burk (Chip); his grandchildren, Alyssa Zimmerman, Gavin Burk and Delaney Burk; his grandchildren-in-law, Pat and Rod Paulino; and his grandchildren, Deborah Frost, Shirley and Don Kowalk. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.

Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
