He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wiseman and Ruth Wiseman; his former wife Janet Marie Sparks; and his grandson Nick DeLong. He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his children, Deborah McGowan, Sherry Erickson and Chad Wiseman; his grandchildren, Peter, Drew, Hannah, Meagan, Zoey, Zach, Adam and Arie; and his great grandchildren, Valentina, Chance, Mina and Mary Lynn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parks Foundation in Jay's memory.
