He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Volk Jr.; his parents, William Volk and Irene Volk; the mother of his children Judith Volk; his wife Barbara Volk; his siblings, William Volk Jr., Janis Volk and Richard Volk; and his brother-in-law Joseph Dubuc.
He is survived by: his significant other Kathleen Houser; his daughter Jennifer Polito (Francisco); his daughter-in-law Patricia Olivas (John); his grandchildren, Lauren Lindsay (Nathan), Lacey Volk, Madalynn Polito and Zachery Polito; his sisters, Patricia Hackley and Mary Squillo-Kiszkiel (Joseph); and his sisters-in-law, Carole Volk (late William Volk Jr.) and Hannah Dubuc (late Joseph Dubuc). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
