With solemn reverence, we commemorate Joyce Elaine Reed in Dewitt, Michigan, whose life came to an end on May 31, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Thompson and Myrtle Thompson; her husband Bill; her sister Shirley Gorman; and her son-in-law Eric Ely.
She is survived by: her siblings, Allen Thompson and Geraldine Swain; and her children, Jim (Lynn), David (Linda), Ed (Carolyn), Tom, Anna Neher (Bob), Joe, Colleen Towery (Lance) and Carol Bensinger (Bill). She is also survived by 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Community of St. Jude (801 N Bridge St, DeWitt, MI 48820).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Community of St. Jude Building Fund or a charity of choice.
