He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ballard and Rosella Ballard; his daughter Angela Ballard; his siblings, Robert Ballard Jr., Pam Ballard and Sharon Hunt; and his granddaughter Victoria Proctor.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Ballard; his children, Machelle McGiveron (Steve), Mitzi Muysenberg (Don), Kim Stoken (Rick), Robin Ballard (Tami), Mark Ballard (Dennel), Stacey Higbie (Quentin), Tonya Ballard, Chad Ballard (Katie), Linette Proctor (Greg) and Billie Jo Ballard; and his siblings, Dee Janz (Gary), Candy Boyd and Bill Ballard (Cheryl). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
