He is survived by: his children, Roxanne (Jim Gleason), Randy Rieves of Lansing, MI and Ryan Rieves of DeWitt, MI; his grandchildren, Kristin, Stephen Vlahakis, Kaitlyn and Ty Cook; his great grandchildren, Louis Vlahakis and Bella Vlahakis; and his nieces and nephews, Russell "Rusty" Rieves, Jean Kelly, Renee, Phil Taft, Tara and Seth Poche.

Memorials may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church.
