She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Hector and Mary S. Carayannopoulos (Kopanakis); and her brother Alex Carayannopoulous II. She is survived by: her husband Kevin Brent Fales; her nephews, Alexander, Nathan, Aaron and Stina (Megan); and her godsons, Alexander and Zachary.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cole Funeral Chapel (214 E Middle St, Chelsea, MI 48118). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Joann worked with Philoptochos, a Greek ladies charity organization; and enjoyed other volunteer work.
