He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Wine and Orpha "Pauline" Wine (Jennings); and his daughter Gena Wine. He is survived by : his girlfriend Margo Harley; his children, Kendra Chavez (Martin "Chino"), Kerrie Wine, Genisa Carpenter and Amy Rife (Dion); his grandchildren, John Carpenter, Jodi Carpenter, Kaylee Rife, Chevy Rife, Alex Wine, Ryan Wine, Kyle Wine, Jayden Chavez and Emma Chavez; and his siblings, Chris Wine (Treina) and Darla Wine.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Gene to the American Cancer Society.
