We bid farewell to Wesley Makela of Dodgeville, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 27, 2025 at the age of 82. Wesley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Makela and Edna Makela (Luoma); his wife Carole Uitto; his siblings, Willie, John, Helen, Eleanor and Maila; and his stepdaughter Marilee.
He is survived by: his sons, Craig Makela (Melissa) and Ryan Makela; his grandchildren, Dane Wesley, McKenna, Kayla, Breanna and Tasha Paavola (Joe); his great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Rhianne; his stepson Mark Kolehmainen; his brother Ernie Luttinen (Gloria); and also Carmen St. Peter. He is also survived by Several Nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Service - Hancock (1017 Quincy St, Hancock, MI 49930). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
