Though Sylvia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Hill (Butkovich) and Richard Bruce Hill; her sister JoAnne Maul (Hill); and her daughter Tina Frantila. She is survived by: the father of her children Tony Datto of South Range; and her children, Cherri Datto, Karry Datto (Mary), Dennece Usitalo (Gary) and Chuck Datto (Amy). She is also survived by her 28 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church (305 Portage St, Houghton, MI 49931). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
