With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Caroline Clarice Matecki (Dorr, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 14, 2025 at the age of 102. She was predeceased by: her husband Edmund George Matecki; her daughter Annette Marie Findleton; her parents, Joseph Grasinski and Helen Grasinski; her sisters, Genevieve Grasinski and Frances; her brother-in-law Albert Hrouda; her brother Joseph; her sister-in-law Elaine Grasinski; her sister Nadine Begin; her in-laws, Ted, Ruth Mates, Joe, Doris Mates, Chet, Rita Mates, Bernice, Robert Johnson, Rose Matecki, Evelyn, Milton Richter, Barbara and Ken Miller; and her siblings' children, Dale Hrouda, Shigura Murako, James Richter and Joan Mates.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Elizabeth McCafferty, Carrie Findleton, Ed, Brigit Matecki, Joe, Krystle Matecki, Emily, Matthew Skavnak, Jessica, Dan Betzler, Mary, Cory Chase, James Matecki and Katie Miller; and her great grandchildren, Makena, Andrew, Jayla, Isabel, Arden, Anna, Ella, Owen, Jude, Joe, Alex, Abigail, Archer, River, Wren, Wes, Oliver and Charlotte. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
