He is survived by: his son Eric Harmsen of Zeeland; and his siblings, Kathy (Alvin Heslinga), Carol (Jerry Young), John Jr. (Cheryl Harmsen) and William (Kimberly Harmsen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
