She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman VanderLaan and Martha VanderLaan; her husband Marvin; and her siblings, Julia, Jim and Harold VanderLaan.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Judy VanderLaan; her stepchildren, Julie Shrontz (Brett), Mark Foote and Keith Foote (Allison); and her grandchildren, Kannon and Annika. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home (4330 18th St, Dorr, MI 49323). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
