We bid farewell to Mary Sue Plunkett of Douglas, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 6, 2025 at the age of 75. Mary Sue touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Doeseckle and Etheldra Doeseckle (Schumann); and her brother Michael Joseph Doeseckle. She is survived by: her husband Michael Edward Plunkett; her grandchildren, Kyle, Josh, Starla, Ari, Miki, Cameron, Lucas and Layne; and her siblings, Margaret Corrado (James), Robert Doeseckle (Sang), Nancy Miller (Jerry), Jane Weigel (Dave) and John Doeseckle (Donna). She is also survived by her loving husband, children, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Richard J Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (12641 W 143rd St, Homer Glen, IL 60491). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (12641 W 143rd St, Homer Glen, IL 60491). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Woods Church (10731 W 131st St, Orland Park, IL 60462).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, an organization dedicated to research and support (https://www.alz.org.).
