He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert First and Elsie First (Disterheft); his siblings, Harold First and Beverly Wyhowski; his uncle Freddy; and his cousin Doug First.
He is survived by: his wife Mary First (Leich); his son Tim First (Angie); his grandchildren, Henry, Charlotte and Claire First; his brother-in-law John Leich; his sister Donna Filbrandt (late Carl); and his cousin Dale "Chip" Disterheft (Rhonda). He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
