He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Valdes and Mary Etta Valdes (Mosher); and his siblings, Victor Dean Valdes, Charlene Valdes and Mary Gene Valdes.
He is survived by: his wife Maggie Valdes; his children, Christopher Baggs and Kate Zappella (John); and his grandchildren, Ella, Ivy and Daniel Zapella. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
