She was predeceased by : her parents, William Ballard and Mary Ballard (Robinson); her husband Ernest Macon; her children, Juanita "Ethel" Macon, James Macon and Michael Macon; and her siblings, Dorothy Jean Beck, Tence Ann Neal, Mary Davis, Annie Lou Hopkins, Lula Mae Harlen, Robert Earl, Jesse and Zachary Ballard.

She is survived by : her children, Ed Ballard, Ernest Macon, Lawrence Macon, Dwayne Macon, Rickey Macon (Delexie), Doris Macon, Bettie Baker (Robert) and Brenda Macon; her grandchildren, Jeremy Macon (Sara), Jamaal Wade (Dylan), Kendrick Macon, Dominique Macon, Alise Baker, Christopher Baker, Susan Macon, Breneesha Jones, Leah Macon, James Macon Jr., Juwaan Macon and Jakhari Smith; her siblings, James, John Ballard and Catherine Nixon; and her close friend Esther Stanley. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
