We are sad to announce that, on March 15, 2019, at the age of 88, Joan Garrett (Dowagiac, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Hunsberger and Hazel Hunsberger (Weller); and her husband William Garrett. She is survived by: her daughter Pat Arkauskas; her grandchildren, Pam Arkauskas (Johnny) and Joe Arkauskas; and her great grandchildren, Lucy, Joseph and Masion Arkauskas.

Memorial contributions in Joan's name may be made to the Cass County Animal Shelter.

“I was so saddened to hear of Aunt Joan’s passing. She was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold and was an absolute delight to be around. I will always cherish the many “coffee hours” my Grandma (Mary Darr) and I spent with her when I was young. Those were some of my favorite times and I will treasure those memories always. May God give you all strength during this time and may you find comfort in remembering the good times you all shared with her.”
