She was predeceased by: her father Mack; her husband Johnnie Steward Sr.; her children, Betty Steward-Lewis, Richard Steward and Johnnie Stewart Jr.; and her siblings, Margaret Forbes, Harry Harrington, Billy Harrington and Mack Harrington Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Leroy Stewart, Ricky Steward, Mary Bethea, Vicky Frazier, Jackie McNeal, Donald Steward and Sylvia Steward; and her sister Lillar Simpson. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clark Chapel (405 Center St, Dowagiac, MI 49047). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Clark Chapel – Starks Family (405 Center St, Dowagiac, MI 49047).
