He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth Mattix and Doris Mattix (Phillips); and his brother Wayne Mattix. He is survived by : his children, Rochelle Mattix of Niles, Krin Smith (Darby) of Dowagiac, Darcy Bornas (Douglas) of Lawton, Brandie Darr (Jason Maxwell) of Paw Paw and Matthew Darr (Melissa); his grandchildren, Lanie, Rheana Mattix-Gist, Brooke Thomas (DJ), Brittany Smith (Brandon Villarreal), Thomas Smith, Brennan Bornas, Brady Bornas, Brenden Bornas, Sara Maxwell, Maxwell Darr-Maxwell, Willow Maxwell and Kaylee Darr; his great grandchildren, Harper and Landon Thomas; and his brother Gary Mattix (Karol) of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
