He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wares and Imogene Wares (Haithcox); his wife Sandra Wares; his children, Robbie Wares and Amber Wares; and his siblings, Robert "Eddy" Wares Sr. and Valerie Bennett.
He is survived by: his partner Shirley Burnham; his children, Stacie Wares, Melissa Wares, Matt Wares (Stephanie) and Wesley "Toddy" Wares Jr.; and his siblings, William "Billy" Wares, John Wares and Juanita Wares. He is also survived by many grandchildren, multiple great – grandchildren.
