He was predeceased by: his father David Peterson; his wife Pamela Beckwith; his mother Bertha Peterson (Kroll); his stepfather Edward Kroll; his siblings, David Peterson, Shirley Specht and Sharon Manz; his children, Rhonda, Allen and Phillip Trevarrow; his granddaughters, Diane Peterson, Angela of Maine and Melissa Wykes; and his great grandchild Johnny McIntyre.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Tripple (Jay), David Peterson (Denise), Darrin Peterson (Nancy), Bill Taylor, Tonya Cornell (Scott), Christy Gross and Barry Gross. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - Durand Chapel (501 N Saginaw St, Durand, MI 48429). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
Memorial contributions may be made in Daniel's name to Gentiva Hospice or Kennedy Care.
