Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Esther Helen Pierce of Durand, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 101, on October 5, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Valentine Hornstein and Rosie Hornstein (Fuoss); her husband Alan J. Pierce; and her sisters, Ruth McLaughlin, Selma Gurden, Gladys Hudson and June Coon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Harder (Clark) and Janet Kamm (Don); her grandchildren, Jeremy Harder (Jenn), Paul Kamm and Amanda Kamm; and her great grandchildren, Dia, Jolie and Grant. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - Durand Chapel (501 N Saginaw St, Durand, MI 48429). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Her kindness and generosity were the cornerstones of her belief, and she embodied the Christian principles of love and charity every day.
